The long awaited Spring Update for the Zune HD is here.

“We’re live with Zune HD 4.5 firmware! Interested in the new features, check out this video: http://bit.ly/9UVwpe To update, connect your Zune HD to the software > Settings > Device > Player Update. If you connect a device, it will offer to ‘check for updates’.”

Temporary Zune HD Price Drop

“With no real announcement Microsoft has dropped the price of its Zune HD 16GB and 32GB models by $20. The Microsoft online store, as well as Best Buy, have the media players priced at $199 and $269 respectively. Amazon and Walmart have dropped the 32GB model by $40, offering it at $249 (Reg. $289). The 16GB model is currently $188 (Reg. $219).”

@Tromboneforhire of Twitter and Inside the Circle has ran across something pretty interesting in the Zune Marketplace.

“Now color me crazy, but um: If I’m looking at this listing correctly there’s an album with a video underneath it. Since the video seems to be numbered right after the album (and it’s for one of the songs in said album), that could only entail that for 800 points you get the album and the video together. If that’s the case, that’s a pretty sweet deal.”
